What Is The Y'all Squad?

The Y'all Squad is a 501c(3) non-profit organization that provides immediate relief to communities affected by natural disasters by utilizing the collective generosity of weather enthusiasts and philanthropists around the world. Our focus is on supporting local communities by way of rapid response from our team members closest to the area. We aim to be some of the first people on the scene after a tornado, hurricane, or other weather event that says "what can we do to help?"

A Message From Ryan

“Where did the Y’all Squad idea come from?”

The inception of the Y’all Squad was driven by a profound sense of responsibility and the struggle to reconcile with the abrupt transition following hours of rigorous weather coverage in specific regions. The task of delivering tornado warnings as these ferocious storms unleashed havoc on towns and then having to promptly shift our focus to another impending weather threat felt unsettling, and quite frankly, wrong.

Immersing myself in such intense weather scenarios, I find myself deeply connected with these communities. The recognition that these individuals relied heavily on my team and me during these times of crisis creates a bond that I am not ready to relinquish simply because the immediate danger has subsided and the phase of recovery and rebuilding is about to begin.

And this is where the Y'all Squad steps in - it provides us the means to extend our involvement and contribution to these affected towns beyond the storm. Harnessing the combined strength of our vast audience and our steadfast determination, we can channel substantial resources to these towns in the aftermath of the storm. It allows us to linger, to familiarize ourselves with the locals, and to actively participate in their journey to recovery.

This ability to make a tangible, positive difference, especially when the situation seems bleakest, is at the heart of my passion for what I do. This is not merely a profession for me; it is a mission to offer solace and support, to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with these communities, and to help them emerge stronger from the remnants of the storm.
